Today I want to touch on music ministry. What does the music ministry mean to you? Some people feel that it is a job, while few grab the true concept of the call of music for the believer. For years I have served as music minister for local churches, but it isn’t until the past few years, God has been dealing with me about the true worshipper and what it Intel. Sure, I can get a bunch of scripture to prove my point, but I want to appeal to the humanistic side of what music does. For example, you here a song, whether it’s on the radio, cd, mp3 player and it put you in a frame of mind, or a mood for better choice of a word. From as long as I can remember, music is what I look to for serenity and peace in my life personally. I was blessed with a gift for music, so that would bring the impression that everything in my life is ok… Wrong! It just means I have the ability to minister to the needs of people, and with comes a great responsibility and great trials if done for the Lord.

Often, when life challenges come my way, I have to reach deep within me to get the encouragement needed to get me threw the tuff times. Many times, I like to hear music to put me in a frame of mind, because I have learned in life, music changes the atmosphere. Think about it, when you go to the dentist what do you hear? When you go shopping, what do you hear? When you go to the movies, what is playing in the back ground? The answer to all of the questions is MUSIC! Advertisers have learned the art of using music to manipulate the consumer, to put your guard down when in these areas for example to make purchases you normally would not. Sounds cruel right? Well, you have used music to your advantage and just didn’t realize it. Men, think about when you are with special women and you are trying to get in a certain place, I will not say, but you get the idea you use music and not only that, a certain type of music. Mother’s when your baby is crying and you’re getting them ready for bed, what do you do? You have the wind-up toy above their crib that plays music, and in specific lullaby’s. So, the point I’m making in this first series, is music can be a very useful tool in the natural. But what about the spirit world, where it came from? Join me in part two of this series Music Ministry. Thank you and God bless!
